KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee College of Law and the Knoxville Bar Association will hold a Minority Admissions Workshop and Open House on Feb. 23.

The event, from noon-4 p.m. (ET), will be held at the College of Law, 1505 W. Cumberland Ave., Knoxville.

Workshop participants will learn about law school and hear from several Knoxville-area minority lawyers. A panel of minority law students will discuss what it takes to be successful in law school. UT’s pre-law adviser will offer advice on planning an undergraduate program with law school in mind. There also will be information about the law school admissions process and financial aid.

The workshop and fair are being held to mark National Law Recruitment Month, a campaign funded by the Law School Admission Council to raise awareness of minority issues facing law schools and the legal profession.

The workshop and open house are free. Participants should park in the University Center Parking Garage on Philip Fulmer Way. Parking will be validated.
