KNOXVILLE — A total of 3,166 students will receive degrees this semester from the University of Tennessee in a ceremony set for 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 12, in Thompson-Boling Assembly Center and Arena on UT’s campus. Gov. Phil Bredesen will deliver the keynote address.

A graduate student hooding ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at Thompson-Boling Assembly Center and Arena. Graduate degrees will be awarded to all master’s, specialists in education and doctoral candidates.

Commencement activities involve 2,127 undergraduates, 832 graduate students, 138 law school graduates and 69 veterinary medicine graduates.

Individual colleges will hold ceremonies on May 10, 11 and 12.
