A special meeting of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., CDT, Thursday, Aug. 21, at the War Memorial Building Auditorium in Nashville.
The agenda includes ratification of the chairman’s acceptance of Dr. John W. Shumaker-s resignation, a severance proposal, and action on the executive committee’s recommendation of Dr. Joe Johnson as interim president.
The board also will review the auditor-s report on expenditures by the UT president’s office and consider bylaws amendments concerning a presidential search committee.
