KNOXVILLE — University of Tennessee football fans, friends and alumni are invited to join the Tennessee National Alumni Association at road games for the Inaugural Big Orange Tailgate Tour.

The tour stops in Nashville Aug. 31 and Nov. 23; Athens, Ga., Oct. 12; Columbia, S.C., Nov. 2; and Starkville, Miss., Nov. 16.

Future stops will be added for post-season games.

Tour events begin three-and-a-half hours before kickoff near stadiums of each away game. The tailgate tour includes food, door prizes, UT Merchandise, special appearances by the UT Pride of the Southland Band and Vol mascot Smokey, and a Rocky Top singing competition.

Fans who pre-register for tailgate tour stops are automatically entered into a drawing for two post-season bowl tickets.

Admission to the Big Orange Tailgate Tour site is free. Cost for food is $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-12. Knoxville’s HoundDogs, First USA and WVLT-TV sponsor the event.

Tour stop times and locations are:

Aug. 31 vs. Wyoming, 1-3:30 p.m., Court of Flags (where Broadway ends at Cumberland River), Riverfront Park, Nashville, catered by Stroud’s Barbecue.

Oct. 12 vs. Georgia, time to be announced, The Classic Center, 300 N. Thomas Street, adjacent to UGA campus, Athens, Ga., catered by The Varsity.

Nov. 2 vs. South Carolina, TBA, at the State Fairgrounds near Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, S.C., catered by Seawell-s Catering.

Nov. 16 vs. Mississippi State, TBA, MSU Intramural Fields, corner of Stone Blvd. and Blackjack Road, Starkville, Miss.

Nov. 23 vs. Vanderbilt, TBA, The Wildhorse Saloon, 2nd Avenue, Nashville.
