KNOXVILLE — Fans attending the UT-Memphis game Saturday can expect the same security measures and traffic and parking procedures used at previous home games.

Large parcels such as backpacks are not permitted inside the stadium, and no items can be stored or left at the gate, Philip Scheurer, UT vice president for operations, said Wednesday.

Kickoff for the homecoming game is set for 2 p.m., and streets adjacent to the stadium will be closed to traffic at 1:30 p.m. The street closures, which will continue until the game ends, will affect Phillip Fulmer Way from Middle Drive to Tee Martin Drive, Peyton Manning Pass, Middle and Lower drives and Estabrook Drive.

Airspace restrictions around the stadium again will be in effect and solicitation near the gates is prohibited.

Items permitted in the stadium include stadium seats without arms, cushions, binoculars, small cameras, pagers, cell phones, radio headsets and diaper bags that accompany an infant. Purses and other parcels are subject to being searched.
