A short course on canine physical rehabilitation will be held Feb. 18-20 at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. The course is for veterinarians and veterinary technicians and will focus on basic rehabilitation and physical therapy techniques for dogs.

The UT College of Veterinary Medicine is the site of a comprehensive canine physical therapy facility, which includes an underwater treadmill, standard treadmill, ultrasound, neuromuscular electrical stimulation and physical therapy specialists.

Instructors will include Dr. Robert Taylor of Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Colorado; Dr. Darryl Millis, UT associate professor and director of the canine rehabilitation facility; Dr. Joe Weigel, UT associate professor, Dr. David Levine, a physical therapy faculty member; and Siri Hamilton, a physical therapist who is also a veterinary technician.
