KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The ALCOA Foundation is supporting minority recruiting and world business at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a $75,000 gift.
The funds bring to more than $3.3 million the amount given UT-Knoxville by the company over the last 25 years, Dr. Bill Snyder, chancellor, said Tuesday.
UT-Knoxville has been designated a target school by ALCOA, said Bruce Keith, director of human resources for ALCOA operations in East Tennessee. ALCOA will be working with the university to determine other programs of interest to the company, he said.
The latest gift will be shared by the language and world business program, the black master of business administration fund and the minority recruiting fund in the college of engineering.
