KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Six Jefferson County students are recent recipients of scholarships from the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association.

 The recipients:

 — Stephanie C. Cate, 1311 N. East End Road, Strawberry Plains, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. She is the daughter of Steve and Sharon Cate.

 — Hezekiah W. Chandler Jr., 1123 Cherrywood Way, Dandridge, earned a $1,500 community college scholarship at UT-Knoxville. Formerly a student at Walters State Community College, he is the son of Louise Chandler.

 — Susan G. Key, 7570 Lebanon Church Road, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Knoxville. She is the daughter of Claude and Rita Key.

 — Gayle M. Wells, 1211 Provost Drive, Jefferson City, earned a $2,400 graduate scholarship at UT-Knoxville. She is the daughter of Cordell and Brona Maddox.

 — Timothy L. Williams, 1629 Depot St., New Market, earned a four-year $12,000 Andy Holt scholarship and a $6,400 National Merit scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Roger and Carolyn Williams.

 — Jon Yarborough, 1230 Tenn. Highway 139, Dandridge, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for his accomplishment as a student at Jefferson County High School. He is the son of Noel and Connie Yarborough.
