KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– Making better use of the Internet and World Wide Web is the focus of a series workshops offered this summer and fall by the library and information science faculty at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

 Dr. George Hoemann of the School of Information Sciences said the nine workshops are designed for teachers and parents of children in grades K-12 but anyone may register for any or all sessions. They begin Aug. 23 and run through Nov. 15.

 Finding and using resources on the Internet and Web, using Internet information in instruction, and Web page design are among topics to be covered. Deadline for registering for the first workshop is Aug. 8.
