NASHVILLE, Tenn.– Engineers, attorneys, waste management personnel and governmental officials in Tennessee can participate in a national teleconference Oct. 24 on international environmental standards.

The three-hour interactive satellite conference is designed to help officials understand the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14000 environmental standards. The University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Service and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation are sponsors.

Joe Cascio, chair and chief negotiator for the advisory group that developed the standards, will participate in the conference.

Nashville State Technical Institute will be the site of the teleconference which will run from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Cost is $30 and registration information is available by calling (615) 532-8657.
