KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– A Florida couple’s gift to the University of Tennessee’s 21st Century Campaign will boost secondary education instruction.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harvey of Tampa have established a $101,000 trust fund in UT-Knoxville’s College of Education to support a secondary education professorship.

Harvey is a former member of UT’s Development Council, a group that advises university officials on fund-raising opportunities.

“The Frank Harvey Professor of Secondary Education will be a distinguished scholar, in keeping with the Harveys’ high expectations for improving education,” Education Dean Richard Wisniewski said.

The 21st Century Campaign seeks to raise $250 million in private gifts for UT’s five campuses and institutes to support scholarships, academics, research and service programs.
