KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — In celebration of the 75th anniversary of women’s right to vote, a one-woman show will be presented at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville at 7:30 p.m., Aug. 24, at the University Center Auditorium.
The Yellow Ribbon Brigade, based on original songs and exerpts from the diaries of suffragettes, will be presented by Candace Anderson, who wrote the material and produced the show.
Tickets are $5 at the door. Proceeds will be used to erect a suffrage statue in Knoxville’s Krutch Park.
