Staffing Plans for the Office of Equity and Diversity
Vice Chancellor for Diversity Rickey Hall announced this week staffing plans for the Office of Equity and Diversity. Over the next year, the office will operate under an interim-staffing plan. Effective immediately, Jenny Richter will become the interim director. A search will be conducted for a twelve-month limited duration appointment interim assistant director.
Disability and Accessibility Survey for Students, Faculty, and Staff with Disabilities
Students, faculty, and staff with disabilities are invited to complete an anonymous online survey that will help to assess disability accommodations provided by the university, the accessibility of the campus, as well as the inclusiveness of the university community for people with disabilities. Rickey L. Hall, assistant vice president for equity and diversity at the University of Minnesota, has been named vice chancellor for diversity at UT. He will begin work in June 2013.

Search Under Way for Vice Chancellor for Diversity
UT is taking a big step forward in its commitment to diversity. The university has created a new position, vice chancellor for diversity, to maximize diversity, cultural awareness, and civility initiatives. Applications for qualified candidates are now being accepted. The vice chancellor for diversity will report to the chancellor and serve on the chancellor’s cabinet.
