After serving as the vice provost for academic affairs for five years, Sally McMillan will be stepping down from her administrative position and returning to the College of Communication and Information faculty in the fall.

Starting this fall, students at UT Knoxville will be limited to dropping only four classes during the course of their undergraduate program. The more stringent policy will increase course availability for students and make more efficient use of faculty time, according to Sally McMillan, vice provost for academic affairs.
Sally McMillan has been named vice provost for academic affairs at UT Knoxville, Provost Susan Martin announced today. McMillan is the associate dean for academic programs for the College of Communication and Information and a professor in the School of Advertising and Public Relations. She will begin her new role on Jan. 4.
