Several events on campus today and this weekend have been canceled with organizers citing winter weather concerns.
The university is monitoring the weather and will make a decision about any changes to our regular operating schedule early in the morning. The only change to our regular operations tonight is that Hodges Library will be closing at 8:00 p.m. All other library locations are now closed. The campus’s inclement weather policy provides flexibility
The National Weather Service is reporting severe thunderstorms, including tornado activity, approaching our area. Watch local media closely and take proper precautions should a tornado threaten campus.
Spring brings warmer weather, lots of blooming plants…and the possibility of severe weather. Since tornadoes or high winds can form with little or no warning, the campus community should stay vigilant and know what to do in the event of severe weather.
