A ceremony will be held Saturday, September 13, in Lenoir City to rename a section of Interstate 75 in honor of the deceased son of a UT employee. The section of highway will be named in honor of Lance Corporal William C. Koprince Jr., who died while serving in the US Marine Corps in Iraq.

The University of Tennessee is welcoming fans of the legendary rock group the Eagles, who will perform at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, in Thompson-Boling Arena. The sold-out concert will bring more than 16,000 guests to campus, affecting traffic and parking.

UT’s Howard Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy celebrates its tenth anniversary this year with an exhibit and several high-profile speakers and events this fall. Former Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana will deliver the Ashe Lecture on August 27, and journalist and author Tom Brokaw will give the Baker Distinguished Lecture on November 13.
Writer, lecturer and activist Daniel Ellsberg— best known for his involvement in the Pentagon Papers trial in 1971—will speak tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the University Center Auditorium. It is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Issues Committee.

The three-day event will feature presentations, panel discussions, and open forums with social media experts from Nike, Dunkin’ Donuts, and McCormick & Company, as well as advertising, marketing, and public relations agencies from Knoxville and the
