A section of Lake Loudoun Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction from July 21 to July 25 as construction crews conduct utility work in the area. From 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day, utility work will reduce the street to one lane in each direction just north of the intersection
From Friday, July 11, to Friday, July 25, the city of Knoxville will begin repaving work, which will reduce several roads around campus to one lane.
The new volleyball practice facility is being named the “Joan Cronan Volleyball Practice Facility” after Cronan, who spent three decades working for UT Athletics. The Board of Trustees approved the action on Thursday. Construction on the facility will be completed for the fall 2014 season.

A major utility upgrade has closed a portion of traffic lanes on Cumberland Avenue. The university’s steam line, which crosses Cumberland Avenue, is being upgraded. This summer, the Staff 9 lot west of Neyland Stadium will close for refurbishment. The first phase of work starts early in the morning on Monday, May 12, with the closing of all of the parking lot except for Margaret’s Alley, located behind the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences Building.
A portion of Circle Drive on the Hill will be closed to traffic early in the morning on Saturday, April 26, as workers transport roofing materials for Dabney-Buehler Hall. The road will be closed east of Ayres Hall, with the western portion converted to two-way traffic to allow accessible parking and deliveries on the Hill.
