The Center for Children’s and Young Adult Literature at UT Knoxville is holding a lecture and book signing by award-winning children’s author Wendelin Van Draanen on November 15. Van Draanen will discuss her book “The Running Dream,” which tells the story of a high school track star who loses a leg in a tragic accident.

The lecture featuring Jack Prelutsky, the nation’s first Children’s Poet Laureate, which had been scheduled for 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, in West High School Auditorium, has been canceled due to the poet’s continuing health problems.
