Effective January 1, 2014, new leadership will come to the College of Business Administration’s master’s and executive education programs. Bruce Behn, the Deloitte LLP Professor, will become associate dean for graduate programs and executive education. He succeeds Matt Myers, who is leaving for a dean position at Miami University in Ohio.
Bruce Behn, head of the Department of Accounting and Information Management in the College of Business Administration and a faculty fellow in the college’s Center for Business and Economic Research, has received special awards from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Accounting Association.
Bruce Behn, a UT business professor, led a study that found seven ways to improve accounting education. Working with the Pathways Commission and fifty other accounting professionals and academics, Behn studied for two years to find ways to strengthen accounting in higher education
