Search Under Way for Vice Chancellor for Diversity
UT is taking a big step forward in its commitment to diversity. The university has created a new position, vice chancellor for diversity, to maximize diversity, cultural awareness, and civility initiatives. Applications for qualified candidates are now being accepted. The vice chancellor for diversity will report to the chancellor and serve on the chancellor’s cabinet.
UT, Korean University Sign Memorandum
UT Knoxville and Dong-A University in Busan, South Korea, have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on student and faculty exchanges, joint research activities, and other programs. The agreement was signed Monday by Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek and officials from Dong-A University.
UT Educators Hall of Honor to Induct New Honorees on March 25
Seven educators will be honored on March 25 when they are inducted into the Educators Hall of Honor, housed in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at UT Knoxville. The ceremony, which is open to the public, begins at 6 p.m. at the UT Visitor’s Center.
