Tennessee Arbor Day Brings Volunteers Out for Tree Planting

The UT campus will be a little greener Friday, March 3, with the planting of 1,000 trees in honor of Tennessee Arbor Day.
Approximately 1,000 trees were planted on campus Friday in an effort to rehabilitate the Second Creek corridor. Facilities Services worked with more than seventy volunteers to plant the saplings along the creek’s bank. The event marked Tennessee Arbor Day, held on the first Friday of March.
UT’s campus will be a little greener on Friday, March 4, with the planting of 850 trees in honor of Tennessee Arbor Day.
