The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s academic accreditation has been reaffirmed by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC) voted unanimously to fully reaccredit the undergraduate programs of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville schools of Advertising and Public Relations and Journalism and Electronic Media in the College of Communication and Information. UT Knoxville was one of eight universities, out of nineteen undergoing ACEJMC
In 2005, UT submitted a Quality Enhancement Plan for SACS reaccreditation that has since become known on campus as the Ready for the World program.
