The Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, announces the launch of its highly anticipated podcast, “Office Hours: Business Edition,” premiering Sept. 10. Monica Langley, professor of practice in the college and former Wall Street Journal reporter and corporate executive, serves as host.
Jamie Dimon, chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, joins Langley in the inaugural episode. Future guests will include Ford CEO Jim Farley and CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman Becker.
Building on the college’s strong relationships with business and industry, the podcast brings listeners inside Langley’s unfiltered discussions with CEOs, founders and innovators who are shaping today’s business landscape.
“At UT Haslam, we focus on connecting top-quality graduates and impactful research with the business world,” said Stephen L. Mangum, dean of the college. “‘Office Hours’ pulls back the curtain and offers the opportunity to learn from the world’s top executives. We are especially excited to have Monica Langley returning to her alma mater to lead these conversations.”
Drawing on decades of trusted relationships with the world’s top leaders, Langley creates a space where guests reveal the defining moments, hard-won lessons and personal experiences that shaped their rise to the top. From pivotal career decisions to unexpected setbacks, from breakthrough innovations to moments of doubt, these conversations aim to capture the human side of leadership.
“Some of the most powerful moments in business happen in intimate conversations one on one,” said Langley. “That’s when leaders open up about the decisions, challenges and moments that shaped them.”
From students to aspiring executives and seasoned leaders, “Office Hours: Business Edition” delivers accessible wisdom and real insights that resonate far beyond job titles. Each episode explores not just how leaders succeed but who they are when no one’s watching.
New episodes of “Office Hours: Business Edition” will drop the second Wednesday of each month. The podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, SoundCloud and YouTube.
