Power has been restored to all campus buildings with the exception of the Science and Engineering Research Facility after an outage on Friday afternoon.
Power was out temporarily across west campus as crews worked to restore electricity to buildings on the Hill. Facilities Services shut down power on a circuit serving 38 buildings in order to address the five buildings that lost power Friday morning.
Employees in buildings that initially lost power were dismissed at 1 p.m. and classes in those buildings were canceled for the rest of the day. An administrative closing is approved for employees working in the affected buildings.
Requests for temporary power to SERF offices should be made to Derek Bailey at dbailey4@utk.edu.
