The Office of Communications and Marketing recently won several awards, including three top awards, in a regional advertising, communications, and marketing competition.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education awarded UT eight awards at its District III regional conference in Atlanta.

Three of the awards were CASE Grand Awards—the highest number of top prizes the office has ever received in one year.

UT’s nationally broadcast setting of a new world record for the largest human letter, a giant Power T at the 50-yard line of Neyland Stadium, won Grand Awards in the categories of best media relations project and special events. The “Big Orange Big Ideas: Rocky Top Tennessee” branding video also won a Grand Award.

Special Merit Award

The UT System Office of Communications and Marketing’s Tennessee Alumnus publication won a Grand Award in the magazine improvement category and an Award of Excellence in the print and digital publication category. The UT System Alumni Affairs office won a special merit award for their University of Tennessee Travelers Travel Catalog.

The UT Knoxville Alumni Affairs and Development office won CASE Awards of Excellence for the Big Orange Give 2016 campaign and the UT Knoxville Endowment Impact report, and Special Merit awards for their annual report, The World Needs Vols, and the UT Alumni Chapter Scholarship Challenge program. The office’s Student Alumni Associates (SAA) program won a top award at the recent CASE District III Affiliated Student Advancement Programs conference in Knoxville, taking an Outstanding Student Advancement Program award for their work during Big Orange Give Week.
