“The students selected to participate have exhibited exemplary campus and community involvement along with a passion for diversity, inclusion, and engagement,” said Tyvi Small, the college’s executive director for talent management, diversity, and community relations. “We want them to have an opportunity to polish their business skills and strengthen the foundations of their future careers. They will have time to network and learn about career paths available to them.”

The event will include speed networking, an etiquette luncheon, and sessions on job searches and interview skills. UT’s Center for Career Development will offer a resume clinic, and a panel of current UT graduate students will discuss their experiences.

A recruitment fair is also planned during the event and will feature a wide range of employers including Auto-Owners Insurance, Enterprise Holdings, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, First Tennessee Bank, PepsiCo, Premier Transportation, Scripps Networks Interactive, Target, Tennessee Valley Authority, Under Armor, and 21st Mortgage Corporation.

In order to qualify for the event, students must be classified as sophomores, juniors, or seniors at a community college or four year-institution in Tennessee and maintain an overall GPA of 2.7 or higher.

The event is sponsored by professional services firms PwC and EY.
