UT President Joe DiPietro announced in July 2016 the appointment of a Title IX Commission to review the Title IX programs across the UT system. As a part of this review, the Title IX Commission is visiting the Knoxville campus and hosting an open listening session from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, March 27, at Stokely Family Residence Hall. This session is specifically for the UT Knoxville campus community—students, staff, and faculty.

Members of the commission include Washington, DC, attorney Stanley Brand; Elizabeth Conklin, University of Connecticut Title IX coordinator and Office of Institutional Equity associate vice president; Janet Judge, Sports Law Associates president; and Nashville-area attorney Bill Morelli.

The commission is hoping to hear feedback and thoughts from the campus community regarding the campus’s Title IX-related policies, procedures, prevention, resources, support for students, and any other related issues or concerns from students, staff, and faculty related to Title IX at UT.  The listening session provides an avenue for your voice.  The session will assist the commission in providing valuable feedback to the system and campus in their final report.
