UT is one of the universities profiled in the Princeton Review’s Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Schools That Give You the Best Bang for Your Tuition Buck 2017 edition, available today in bookstores and online.
The book highlights universities that are more affordable for students and their parents while also providing excellent career preparation and placing graduates in good jobs with good pay.
UT is noted for its plentiful scholarship opportunities, with more than $46 million in institutional scholarship funds awarded each year along with state and federal grants and work-study funds available to students. The profile mentions the Manning Scholarship, named after Tennessee and NFL football legend Peyton Manning.
The Center for Career Development “does an amazing job helping undergraduates kick-start their professional lives,” according to the profile, with students receiving valuable assistance in creating resumes and cover letters and preparing for interviews.
UT and the other schools were selected for inclusion in the list based on their “return-on-education” ratings that gauge excellence in affordability, academic quality, and career prospects for graduates.
The Princeton Review is an academic tutoring, test preparation, and college admission service company.
