Tennessee Tech University will honor UT’s Lynne Parker, according to the Cookeville Herald-Citizen.
Parker, who serves as Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Engagement in the Tickle College of Engineering at UT, has been chosen as Tennessee Tech’s outstanding engineering alumni.
A native of Knoxville, Parker earned her bachelor’s at Tech before earning a Master’s at UT and a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
A professor in UT’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Parker is considered one of the foremost minds in artificial intelligence, having recently helped co-author a White House study on the topic.
