The recent gas pipeline explosion in Alabama has been a hot topic of discussion, both locally and nationally.

Mark Burton, a member of the Center for Transportation Research and an associate research professor of economics, recently sat down with WATE TV-6 in Knoxville to talk about the issue.

Burton addressed the aspects of supply and demand related to Knoxville’s intake from the pipeline, and whether he thought there might be gas shortages.
