Tim Ezzell, a UT political scientist, and other partners recently organized a stargazing party in Calhoun County Park in West Virginia. The park boasts one of the darkest night skies in the eastern United States. The event was part of a project aimed at spurring economic development in distressed Appalachian communities. The West Virginia-based Parkersburg News and Sentinel featured the effort in this story.

Ezzell is based in the Department of Political Science.
