Two members of the Volunteer family recently passed away. Please remember these Volunteers and their families and friends during this time of grief and sadness.
Kristy Shields, of Knoxville, was a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences. She was 31 years old and is survived by her husband of ten years.
A memorial service was held on Monday, September 26.

Sean Settle of Erin, Tennessee, was a senior in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. Sean served as a scuba instructor for the university and was set to graduate with honors in December.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 11, in Clarksville, Tennessee.
