The Office of Research and Engagement provides the UT research community with Pivot, a research resource that integrates funding and collaborator discovery in one online tool. Pivot’s content includes $44 billion in funding opportunities and more than 3 million detailed scholar profiles with options for sharing, organizing, and collaborating around funding opportunities.

Researchers, staff, and students now can use this tool on any UT workstation or network by visiting the Pivot homepage. Access to Pivot’s full functionality, including creating and managing your scholar profile, saving funding opportunities, and setting up funding alerts, requires a Pivot account.

Anyone who had a Community of Science account through UT prior to 2012 already has a Pivot account and should try logging in with their COS credentials before creating a new account in Pivot.

ORE will give four workshops during the fall semester on finding funding opportunities which will include how to get started with Pivot.  Dates and times will be posted in ORE’s newsletter, Catalyst, as well as on the training and registration site. In the meantime, ORE’s Pivot page provides additional information and links to video tutorials.

For more information about Pivot, including requests to reset old COS passwords, contact Louise Nuttle at lnuttle@utk.edu.
