Fans thinking about pregame plans in Bristol, Tennessee, before the Volunteers take on the Virginia Tech Hokies on September 10 at the Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol at Bristol Motor Speedway are invited to sign up for the Big Orange Tailgate Tour.
Instead of hauling tents, chairs, and coolers, fans can sign up for the ready-made party. Running 4:00–7:00 p.m. September 10, the tailgate package includes:
- A prime, gated tailgate location near the stadium with restrooms.
- The best view for the Vol Walk, Smokey, and the UT cheerleaders.
- TVs and DJ Sterl the Pearl, a former UT quarterback, spinning tunes.
The tailgate cost includes food, and a cash bar will be available. The cost is $50 for adults and children 10 years and older, $30 for children ages 2–9, and free for children under two. The adult fee includes a gift of $5 to the Tri-Cities UT Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund. Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m.
