In an article for Tech Tank, a science and technology blog of the Brookings Institute, Stuart Brotman writes about how the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union may affect the EU’s Digital Single Market Strategy.
Brotman writes, “Under Brexit, the U.K. will now have to innovate more from within, which includes expanding its digital talent pool primarily within its geographic borders. This may be difficult to sustain since digital expertise will be more readily available in neighboring countries that remain part of the EU.”
Brotman is the Howard Distinguished Endowed Professor of Media Management and Law and the Beaman Professor of Communication and Information in the School of Journalism and Electronic Media.
