Best Colleges has ranked the College of Social Work online master’s program in social work fifth in the country.

The ranking is based on a number of criteria, including tuition ranges for credit hours, scheduling flexibility, geographic limitations, coursework offered online and an advanced option to help those with bachelor’s degrees in social work accelerate quickly through the program.

UT offers a comprehensive full- and part-time online master’s degree program that combines state-of-the-art coursework with in-depth internship experiences.

Students in the traditional program complete 1,024 hours of field experience as part of the degree requirements, while advanced standing students complete 672 hours. Students can also earn program certificates in gerontology, school social work licensure, trauma and veterinary social work.

Close to 400 students have earned their degrees through the social work master’s degree program.

All programs in the 2016 Best Online Masters in Social Work rankings are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, the only organization that provides accreditation for master’s programs in social work.
