Knoxville-area UT employees with at least twenty-five years of service were recognized last week at the university’s spring Service Awards Luncheon. Ninety-eight employees were honored for their continued contributions and loyalty to the University of Tennessee.
John Bailey, a UT alumnus and principal administrative assistant in the College of Social Work, passed away in his sleep Saturday, April 30. He was 60.
After graduating from UT, Desiree Dube will say dasvidanya—goodbye—to America for a while. Dube, from Clarksville, Tennessee, completed her degree in history and Russian studies and is heading to Russia on a Fulbright scholarship. She will spend the 2016–17 academic year teaching English and learning all she can about Russian culture.
