The Clarence Brown Theatre’s eight-play lineup for the 2016–17 season includes an Arthur Miller drama, two contemporary plays, a new version of a holiday classic, and a voyage around the world.

Season tickets are on sale now. Season ticket holders enjoy several exclusive benefits, including free ticket exchanges, priority seating, up to 20 percent off regular single tickets and the opportunity to purchase additional tickets before they go on sale to the general public, special discounts at selected restaurants, and the inside scoop on special events before they are announced to the general public.

Faculty and staff receive a big discount on season subscriptions. A regular eight-show adult package is $175 but faculty and staff can purchase the package for $95. A CBT/Carousel productions adult package is $155; faculty and staff can purchase it for $75. UT students can get an eight-show package for $40 and a CBT/Carousel package for $30.

“Our new offerings present contrasts between light and shadow, hope and disappointment, adventure and danger. We hope they not only entertain, but also enlighten and inspire. As theatre artists we want to take a good look at our world, to look back from where we came so that we can imagine a hopeful future,” said Calvin MacLean, producing artistic director and UT theatre department head.
