Students of one of the nine languages that make up the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures will face off in a soccer tournament Wednesday, April 13.
The department’s fourth annual tournament will be 6:00–8:30 p.m. at Regal Soccer Stadium.
The department began the tournament to celebrate sportsmanship, inclusion, and diversity over a sport played throughout the world. The nine teams, representing the nine languages taught in the department, are Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
The winning team will receive gift baskets. Supporters will have the chance to enter a raffle to win gift certificates for lunch at Brazeiros.
