Prospective students, transfer students, community members, artists, families, and friends are all invited to the School of Art’s open house on Friday, April 8.
The event will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Art and Architecture Building.
The open house will showcase the work of current graduate and undergraduate students and give attendees the opportunity to learn about the school’s programs in art history, ceramics, printmaking, graphic design, photography, painting and drawing, sculpture, and time-based media.
Open house activities for high school juniors and seniors as well as current UT students include meeting School of Art students, viewing student work from the 2016 School of Art Scholarships Competition, speaking with faculty, and touring studios and facilities.
There will be open house maps available in the atrium to direct attendees to specific rooms.
Rubens Ghenov, assistant professor of painting, has an exhibition of his work on display in Gallery 103, and three third-year MFA students will have thesis exhibitions installed in the Ewing Gallery.
