The Office of Communications and Marketing team won several top honors for its creative video, print, and online work over the past year. The Council for the Advancement of Education (CASE) Region III and the Knoxville chapter of the American Advertising Federation both recently recognized the team’s project work, including projects produced in cooperation with the Office of Alumni Affairs and Development, Center for Health Education and Wellness, and Office of Sustainability, among other clients.
The 2014 season halftime spot featuring former Lady Vol Candace Parker and Governor’s Chair for Power Electronics Yuli Liu won a grand award at the CASE Region III conference held in Nashville in February. The Chancellor’s 2014 Annual Report and a campaign to reach UT students with information about consent both won CASE Awards of Excellence.
Last weekend, UT picked up four Gold Addy awards for its integrated Experience Learning campaign, which featured advertising, web, and video components; the Make Orange Green calendar; and the videos “When I Became a Vol” and a “Vol Minute.” UT also received six Silver Addy and three Bronze Addy awards for a variety of other work, including UT’s new emojis and Torchbearer magazine’s fall 2015 cover featuring Smokey.
The School of Music staff received a Bronze Addy for copywriting for a recruitment brochure.
