UT’s Haslam College of Business will host the inaugural Women in Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership Summit on Friday, March 4. The free event will feature keynote speaker Susan Packard, co-founder of Scripps Networks Interactive and former chief operating officer of HGTV.

The summit is designed to empower female students from all backgrounds and provide them with a platform for meaningful dialogue surrounding challenges women face in business.
Participants will connect with a network of diverse female professionals and engage in mentorship-focused discussion groups and networking.
“The facilitators of the workshops are accomplished leaders in their fields and have a wealth of experiences to share that will help students prepare to lead in a global marketplace,” said Janice Branch, coordinator of diversity initiatives for the college.
The half-day summit includes a networking breakfast, two workshops and lunch followed by Packard’s keynote address.
Workshop topics include the art of negotiation, thriving in male-dominated fields, pitching with power, and women in entrepreneurship.
Students must register by Thursday, March 3, to attend.
