Zachary Lee Woodall, a staff member in Facilities Services and a UT graduate, died Thursday, February 4. He was 42.

woodallobitHis family will receive friends 4:00 to 6:00 Tuesday, February 9, at Central Baptist Church of Bearden with memorial service beginning at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Young-Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division Street, Knoxville, TN 37919.

Woodall joined the Landscape Services team in April 2015 as a landscape gardener. He worked with a crew maintaining an area of campus that includes the Pedestrian Mall, the Haslam College of Business, the Student Union and Blueberry Falls, Humanities and Social Sciences, the Clarence Brown Theater, Hodges Library, the Baker Center, Fred Brown Hall, and Hopecote House.

“During his time with the department, Zac shared horticultural knowledge to the team he had gained from previous experiences,” said Jason Cottrell, assistant director of landscape services. “He was a great match for the team and was liked by all.”

Woodall is survived by his mother, Martha Woodall; father, Dan Woodall and his wife, Bernadette; and brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Kathryn Woodall.
