“For a reliability and maintainability (R&M) process to be successful, the entire facility needs to be involved.”
That’s the message that Klaus Blache, director of the UT Reliability and Maintainability Center, had for Maintenance Technology.
The website, which bills itself as “The Source for Reliability Solutions,” featured an article by Blache on how to best go about stressing the importance of R&M to businesses.
Among other key points:
- Avoid acronyms in favor of practical examples
- Use “plain speak,” avoiding technical jargon where possible
- Stress how R&M practices improve safety and productivity
