According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, fiberglass pool manufacturer Leisure Pools plans to increase its Knoxville work force to 1,000 in the next decade.

Crucially for the UT-led Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation, part of their growth will come from composite materials manufacturing.
The company acquired what had been a Sea Ray Boats facility at Forks of the River Industrial Park, where they held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday featuring area officials and UT Governor’s Chair in Advanced Composites Manufacturing Uday Vaidya.
