tony-150x150Anthony “Tony” Moses, a longtime faculty member in UT’s English Language Institute (ELI), passed away on September 2. He became an instructor at ELI in 1985, soon after completing his doctorate in English at UT.

Moses taught English to both native speakers and those learning English as a second language. He also taught classes in medieval studies and organized student trips into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Moses was a native of Magnolia, Arkansas, and a longtime resident of the Fort Sanders neighborhood.

A service of remembrance will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy, 1640 Cumberland Avenue.
