volspeakThe Center for Health Education and Wellness will host ten Volunteers Speak UP! sessions open to students, staff, and faculty during September and October. The center will offer two programs: Volunteers Speak UP! RSVP (Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention) and Volunteers Speak UP! Alcohol Edition.

The RSVP program will include information on consent, how to provide support to someone who has been sexually assaulted, how to be an active bystander, and stalking. The program concludes with resources and how to promote a Vols Help Vols culture at the university and beyond.

The Alcohol Edition program will include information on how to recognize alcohol overdose or poisoning, care taking skills when someone has alcohol poisoning or has overdosed, how to be an active bystander, and ways to speak up in various situations. The program includes discussion on specific scenarios related to concerning drinking behavior and drinking and driving. Available resources are provided during the program as well as ways to promote a Vols Help Vols culture at the university and beyond.
