Boston.Com, an online presence of the Boston Globe, recently spoke to UT’s David Clarke about a Chinese company building rail cars for a new metro line there.

Clarke, the director of UT’s  Center for Transportation Research, talked to the outlet about whether a company could succeed by producing only metro cars, expressing some doubt.

Clarke pointed out that the company, China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation, might view the project as a way to potentially produce high speed rail cars, something far more available in China than the U.S., but an area expected to grow here over the coming years.
