The Homer A. Jones Jr. Wills Clinic at the College of Law will accept members of the university’s non-exempt staff as clients, as time permits and provided that the staff members meet all guidelines. Since the fall of 2009, the Wills Clinic has been providing estate planning services to East Tennesseeans of modest means. Students—under the supervision of Visiting Professor Barbara Johnson, an experienced estate planner—prepare wills, powers of attorney, living wills, advance health care directives, trusts, and other estate planning documents free of charge for clients who meet certain financial and other guidelines. They also handle some probate matters and conservatorships.
