The UT Police Department has expanded its reach into the campus community by opening an annex office in Hodges Library. UTPD officers are staffing the office, Room 135, from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The office opening is a pilot project for the fall semester. The UTPD office is on the first floor, one floor above One Stop. The auditorium, group viewing room, reference reading room, and Special Collections also are on the first floor.

UTPD officers now can take police reports, register students’ valuable items through their Operation Identification program, and answer questions from students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

“This is an excellent opportunity to reach out to our community and make it easier to access our services,” said UTPD Chief Troy Lane.

UTPD may adjust the hours of operation to accommodate peak times.
